🛒 Ingredients
1 cup pasta (penne or macaroni)
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (maida)
1½ cups milk
½ cup grated cheese
1 small onion (chopped)
½ cup capsicum (chopped)
¼ cup sweet corn
¼ cup carrots (finely chopped)
½ teaspoon chili flakes
½ teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
Oregano or mixed herbs (optional)
👩🍳 Method
Boil pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and keep aside.
In a pan, melt butter on low flame.
Add flour and stir continuously for 1–2 minutes (do not let it turn brown).
Slowly pour in milk while stirring to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens.
Add salt, black pepper, and chili flakes.
In another pan, sauté onion and vegetables for 3–4 minutes until slightly soft.
Add the sautéed vegetables into the white sauce.
Mix in the boiled pasta and grated cheese.
Cook for 2 more minutes until creamy and well combined.
Sprinkle oregano or herbs on top and serve hot.
🍽️ Serving Tip
Serve immediately while it’s hot and creamy. You can garnish with extra cheese or chili flakes for a café-style presentation.
This Indian-style White Sauce Pasta is rich, comforting, and full of flavor — perfect for anyone who loves creamy dishes with a desi touch. One bowl is never enough! 😊
